Finalist Noord Nederland and Pixcelldata announce a collaboration for digital pathology in the Netherlands
Groningen, Netherlands and Dublin, Ireland. – April 2013 – Finalist Noord Nederland C.V. the manufacturer of FinaLims, the leading laboratory information management system in pathology laboratories in the Netherlands, and Pixcelldata, the developer of Collibio, software for digital pathology, announce a collaboration providing an integrated solution to improve internal laboratory workflows and external case consultations.
The unique integrated FinaLims-Collibio solution reduces workload for pathologists by automating workflows. The FinaLims-Collibio solution eliminates the need to distribute glass slides for external consults with the resulting benefits in significant time savings and reduced costs. Pathologists continue to use their microscopes for clinical diagnosis, but for cases requiring a second opinion, they use FinaLims-Collibio. Case whole slide images can be viewed and annotated in the FinaLims through the integrated Collibio viewer, and pathologist can easily and securely share anonymised cases images and data with internal and external colleagues with automated email notifications.
